Thousands of people came out to enjoy the Independence Day festivities on South Street. The event included entertainment by DJ Souren of Club Souren on South Street. There was “Chalk on South” (kids of all ages got a free “bucket” of chalk to create art and messages on the street), free giveaways, and lots of fun for the whole family. A fabulous fireworks show capped off the wonderful event.
The fireworks were made possible by the donation from event sponsor, Investors Bank. The event was also sponsored by Accent Printing, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Colonial Appliance, Hair Salon Body & Soul, Kapuscinski Luongo Architects, Martial Arts for Life, NJ Sharing Network, NP Downtown Improvement District, Souren Communications (sponsoring Club Souren DJ), Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and New Providence Business, which sponsors the Summer Concerts, Street Fair, Downtown Trick or Treating and Scarecrow Stroll, the Holiday Festival, and other community events.
We hope you’ll join us again next year!
